SPENCER CRICKET CLUB
The Spencer Cricket Ground is the home of the Spencer Cricket Club, which is situated in Earlsfield, South West London (SCG). Spencer Cricket Club, which has its headquarters in Wandsworth and has approximately 1700 members who play in more than 70 teams, is the biggest cricket club in the UK today. It was founded in 1872.

In the nineteenth century, there were literally hundreds of cricket clubs in London. Spencer began his cricket career on Wandsworth Common. It didn't even have a distinctive moniker; other neighbourhood teams also went by the name Spencer. With such an unusual beginning, it has developed into the biggest cricket club in the nation and one of the few that is still active in inner London. Along with its 1,500+ cricket players, it has also introduced other sports along the road, starting with Tennis, then Hockey, then Squash, Lacrosse, and Netball.

The Spencer Club is located in South West London on several acres of land and is only a short distance from important transportation hubs. A bustling Clubhouse with a bar and several social rooms is available to members in addition to the athletic facilities. The Clubhouse is where players, parents, fans, and visiting teams congregate to socialise and talk about the high points and difficulties of their matches.

The Club compete in the Surrey Championship, Surrey League, and Women's Southern League with five XIs and two Women's XIs. In the Surrey Championship Division, the first XI competes. It is a singular sports achievement because it consistently manages to bring together quality and inclusion. The club is accessible to everyone and consistently wins awards. Even though the adult and junior teams are among the greatest, these players only make up a small portion of the total membership. It is a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-faith club that welcomes men and women, girls and boys, and anyone with impairments to play cricket.

With special events, new gear, and continuous effort to create facilities suitable for the next 150 years, 2022 marks the 150th anniversary.
